This deep colored Zinfandel is full bodied with luscious pine-forest aromas, and a dash of black pepper spiciness. The palate is loaded with gobs of ripe berry fruit and a bit of jam, though not over the top like many over-ripe zins that tend toward pruniness.  Zinfandel remains one of our favorite varietals not only because of its possibly permanent "Made In The USA" status but because it is so varied in style and nearly always good.  This zinfandel happens to be great! It will pair well to that peppery flank steak, thin crust and lightly overcooked pizza, antipsasti, and of course to the occasional late-into-the-night intense conversation.
