This Tuscan red is made up of 60 % Syrah, 20% Merlot, and 20% Sangiovese. It has nice dark blackberry fruit, some pepper notes, with a good balanced acidity. These Italians really can make a food friendly wine and this one is no exception. This a little more new world as can be seen from the blending.  The producer of this wine is an opera fan and always pays homage to his second love on each wine label.
