This southern French red is comprised of mostly Syrah with only about 20% Grenache. It has dried, slightly raisin-like fruit on the nose, and is rich, inky and chewy. It has never seen oak, so the strong tannins are products of the fruit, not the barrel. A pure, organic wine that will pair well with pate, salami and sausages.
