This medium red has traditional hints of barnyard on the nose, yet it is subtle enough to allow the gorgeous cherry nose to show. The flavors on the palate are nicely intermingled, with a good balanced acidity due to the higher elevation of the Hautes-Cotes de Nuits appellation, which sits in the hills directly behind its more famous sister, Cote de Nuits. This area is lesser known, and not so available here in the states, so we feel lucky to personally know this importer as they turned us on to this great find. Value and Burgundy are not two words that usually appear in the same sentence….so get it while you can and see for yourself!
