This medium-bodied white blend is an excellent example of how unique wines from Cassis (pronounced Cass-ee by the locals) can be. It’s briny from the salt of the nearby Mediterranean and clean from stainless steel fermentation, with notes of pineapple and acacia. It’s moderately rich in body, from the blending of fuller bodied varietals such as Marsanne and Clairette, along with the aging on its fine lees for a year before release. This white was made to go with bouillabaisse, the culinary specialty of the area. Certified organic.

Really cool unique wine! Can salty be used to describe a wine? Probably not - but it is there..

3.5 stars for making me want to quit my job and go chill out on the Mediterranean coast of France. :)
